Marvin Leroy Browers

Marvin Leroy Browers, 79-year-resident of Decatur, Arkansas, died December 2, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas.

Born June 11, 1938, in Decatur, Arkansas, he was the son of Marvin H. Browers and Viola Grace Browers. He worked in radio communicat­ions for Motorola. Marvin loved to volunteer with the distributi­on of meals on wheels and was active with Faith in Action. He married Beverly Browers Bressler in 2012 at Springfiel­d, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gwen Browers; wife Gay Melanson Browers; and one brother.

Survivors include his wife Beverly Browers of the home; daughter, Bambi Potter and husband Wesley of Colcord, Oklahoma; son, Kevin Browers and wife Shelia of Gentry, Arkansas; three daughters, Laura Gutierrez and husband Glynn, Linda Hudnall, and Michelle Trapen and husband Mark all of Louisiana; son, Trey Munson and wife Tracy of Pennsylvan­ia; four sisters, Darlene McClellan of Lincoln, Arkansas, Vickie Shields of Joplin, Missouri, Jeannie Browers of Joplin, Missouri, and Pam Duncan and husband Leroy of Lincoln, Arkansas; 24 grandchild­ren; 23 greatgrand­children; one greatgreat-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery, near Decatur, Arkansas. Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

Charles Lynn Greening

Charles Lynn Greening, 78-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died on December 2, 2017 at his daughter’s home. Born on December 5, 1938 in Dallas, Texas, he was the son of Charles Fredrick Greening and Lyddia Delaney Neal Greening. He married Anna Crosswell on September 25, 1959 in Poteau, Oklahoma. Charles and his wife Ann owned and operated C & A TV and Appliance in Siloam Springs until it closed in 1990. He was an elder at Siloam Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lyddia Greening.

He is survived by his wife, Anna of the home; one daughter, Tammy Farmer and husband Jeff of Siloam Springs; one son, Bruce Greening and wife Mittie of Siloam Springs; six grandchild­ren: Jared Farmer, Jordan Farmer, Jesse Farmer, Corbin Greening, Kelsey Greening, and Quade Greening; two brothers, Fred Greening and wife Pam of Goldsby, Oklahoma, and Bob Greening and wife Nina of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters, Louene Lipsmeyer and husband Mike of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Sherry McKown and husband Bob of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Mr. Bruce Potter officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Bell Cemetery in Watts, Oklahoma. Sharon Kay Thomas

Sharon “Kay” Thomas, 64, of Colcord, Okla., died on Dec. 1, 2017, at her home.

She was born on June 15, 1953, in Rogers,

Ark., to Therman Lee Cannady and Dora Jane Pike Burfiend. She married Harlen Wayne Thomas on Feb. 4, 1971, in Vinita, Okla. She worked as a preschool teacher at her sister’s daycare, then continued on as a caregiver for the elderly before retiring. She was of the Christian faith and lived out her faith, loving everyone in her path.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and her father, Therman Lee Cannady.

She is survived by her mother, Dora Burfiend of Colcord; five children, Shelly Stobaugh and husband Richard of Cleveland, Ark., Crystal George and husband Dan of Colcord, Misty Ziebarth and husband Lesley of Colcord, Ray Thomas and wife Kelsey of Ketchum, Okla., and Wayne Thomas and wife Karen of Siloam Springs, Ark; four sisters, Shirley Boyd of Rogers, Ark., Brenda Clark of Colcord, Nancy Torres of Plano, Texas, and Mary Martinez of Springdale, Ark.; 15 grandchild­ren; and 16 great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services were Dec. 5, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, with Pastor Wayne Thomas officiatin­g. Burial was at Rogers Cemetery in Rogers, Ark.

Bettye Williams

Bettye Williams, 87, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Dec. 4, 2017 at her home.

She was born March 21, 1930 in Booneville, Ark., to Lloyd Stone and Beulah Stone Brisco. She married Dale Williams. The couple owned and operated a NAPA parts store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs.

She was proceeded in death by her husband; and her father Lloyd Stone.

She is survived by her mother, Beulah Stone of Siloam Springs, Ark., and one sister Margaret Harrison of Tulsa, Okla.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.
