Family Medicine provider E. Beth Harp, D.O., has joined the medical staff of Siloam Springs Regional Hospital and will be seeing patients at Siloam Springs Family Medicine.

Dr. Harp previously practiced medicine at the Wilma P. Mankiller Health Center in Stilwell, Okla. She and her family currently reside in Westville, Okla., on a dairy farm. The Harps also have strong ties to the Siloam Springs community as well.

“I graduated from Westville High School and am married to my high school sweetheart, Wesley,” Dr. Harp said. “We have four very active children.” The family also attends Siloam Springs First Baptist Church where Dr. Harp volunteers with the Awana program.

A graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Harp completed her residency with the Tahlequah City Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program.

“During my medical career, I’ve had a lot of experience with common medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and thyroid disorders,” Dr. Harp said. “I have experience with knee and shoulder injections as well as skin lesion and biopsies.”

“With our community growing at a rapid pace, we look forward to this expansion of services. We’re very fortunate to have Dr. E. Beth Harp join our medical staff and be a part of Siloam Springs Family Medicine,” said Siloam Springs Regional Hospital Chief Executive Officer Patrick Kerrwood. “Her expertise and compassionate care is a valuable asset to our community. With the addition of online scheduling and same-day appointments at Siloam Springs Family Medicine, we know Dr. Harp will be able to treat her patients when they need her most.”

Dr. Harp has joined the practice of Siloam Springs Family Medicine located at 1101-1 N. Progress Ave. in Siloam Springs. She is accepting new patients and same-day appointments are available.

“Being born and raised in rural Oklahoma shaped the person and ultimately the physician I am today,” Dr. Harp said. “Growing up, I always loved science and problem-solving. From a young age I can recall how much I loved to learn about the human body and how it worked. During high school and my early college years, I had the opportunity to shadow different health professionals to decide which career was right for me. While job shadowing with a family medicine physician, I felt as though I had found my niche. I loved the problem-solving that medicine presented to me and the opportunity to help change someone’s life in a positive way through an effective treatment plan.”

Dr. Harp said family medicine has allowed her to provide comprehensive medical care to her patients and be on the front lines of preventive care and screenings for all ages.

“During residency, I loved how the family medicine physicians had the opportunity to take care of a patient for many years. I feel like this is so important in building trust and effective communication which ultimately improves patient health.”

Dr. Harp says her goal is to work hard and provide compassionate and quality health care to all of her patients. When she is not at work, Dr. Harp enjoys spending time with her family, running and watching baseball.
