For the third-straight year, junior Baily Cameron was named to the All-Sooner Athletic first team while senior Jana Schammel was selected to the third team and senior Kimmy Deines named honorable mention as voted on by the SAC coaches, the conference office announced Feb. 28.

In a season that saw Cameron become the program’s 18th 1,000-point scorer, the Siloam Springs native captured a new program record, clinching the Golden Eagles’ firstever three-time first-team All-Conference honoree. En route to setting this new milestone, Cameron paced the Golden Eagles in nearly every category, most notably in shooting (57.1 percent), points per game (18.8), field goals (221), free throw shooting (82.9), rebounds (209), rebounds per game (7.2) and blocks (34).

Starting every game, Cameron, the SAC’s second-leading scorer, finished in double-figures in every game except two, and crossed the 20-point mark 12 times and the 30-point mark twice.

Cameron has also captured the league’s Sportsmanship award, splitting the honor with Southwestern Assemblies of God’s Lexi Rich.

Schammel, a Plymouth, Minn., native paced the squad in triples (65) and three-pointers made per game (2.2). Schammel has started every game this season and averages 9.9 points a night and shoots 46.4 percent from behind the arc.

Deines, a Springfield, Mo., native, registered 135 assists this season, marking the third-most assists in program single-season history.
