Norma Jane Wilmoth
Norma Jane Wilmoth, went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2018, at Circle of Life in Springdale, Arkansas.
She was born on February 7, 1933, to Lee Samuel Shook and Beulah V. Shook of Decatur, Arkansas. Norma Jane married Richard “Gene” E. Wilmoth on January 21, 1950. They were married for 68 years.
She worked at the Bank of Gravette and as a substitute teacher. She was very active with the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, and St. Jude’s fundraisers. Norma Jane was a member of First Baptist Church for 40 years, always helping with Bible School, teaching Sunday School, and delivering gift boxes to many families. Always willing to help others, Norma Jane’s journey is now complete.
Mrs. Wilmoth was preceded in death by her son, James Richard Wilmoth; parents; five sisters; and one brother.
She leaves behind her husband, Gene Wilmoth; her children, Teresa “Terry” Wilmoth Allen and husband Rick of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Paula Wilmoth Still of Benton, Arkansas. Norma Jane also left behind five grandchildren, Joshua and wife Stacey, Roderick Shannon Allen, Nicholas E. Allen and wife Autumn, Jackson E. Still, and Malea McElyea and husband Bobby, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Decatur, Arkansas. The family had a private graveside service following visitation at Decatur Cemetery with Pastor Justin White officiating. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation.
