Police safely put an end to standoff with local man
A homeless man was arrested following an hourlong standoff on Friday night with the Siloam Springs Police Department and deputies from Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

Capt. Derek Spicer. The Denison, 22, who left the suspect was later identified scene in his vehicle prior to officers arriving. Officers later found Denison in his vehicle in a parking lot near the Siloam Springs Regional Hospital.
Due to his refusal to comply, Benton County Sheriff’s deputies and the police department spent about an hour apprehending Denison, but no gunfire was exchanged and no one was hurt, Spicer said.
On Tuesday, Denison was being held at the Benton County Jail with a $2,500 bond on a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct and a felony charge of terroristic threatening in the first degree, according to jail records. His court date is scheduled for Oct. 8.
