Barr joins Siloam Springs Family Medicine
Stefanie Barr, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, recently joined the staff at Siloam Springs Family Medicine as a family nurse practitioner. A Member of the Allied Health Professionals Staff at Northwest Health, Barr is accepting new patients — ages ranging from infant to adult — at Siloam Springs Family Medicine.
Barr received her master’s degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Grove, Ill., with honors in 2017 as a family nurse practitioner. She completed her bachelor of science from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., in 2012. Barr began her career as a registered nurse specializing in emergency medicine.
Barr previously practiced medicine at Northwest Health Urgent Care in Siloam Springs, but recently transitioned to the family medicine practice.
“We were very excited to find out Stefanie had an interest in family medicine and wanted to expand to our local practice,” said Siloam Springs Regional Hospital Chief Executive Officer Patrick Kerrwood. “Her compassionate care for patients and medical knowledge made her a natural fit. Working alongside Dr. E. Beth Harp, Stefanie has already been meeting new patients and getting active in community events.”
“Taking care of patients is the best part of my job,” Barr said. “I enjoy working in health care because it allows me to help others in their time of need.”
Barr, her husband and two children are residents of Locust Grove, Okla., where they live on 40 acres. In her free time, Barr enjoys being with her family.
Barr’s experience also includes emergency medicine travel nursing in multiple states. She holds a national certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association, Association of Oklahoma Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
