Christmas Home Tour
Mothering Matters Christmas Home Tour will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. Participants will get to tour five local homes decorated for Christmas. There will also be bake sale and live nativity scene. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door, andmay be purchased at Cafe on Broadway, Heart of the Home, Sassafras, Occasions, Cari’s Closet, 2 Gal’s Junk and The Foundry Clothing Co.
Thanksgiving hot rolls
The Siloam Springs Senior Activity and Wellness Center is offering hot rolls for your Thanksgiving dinner. The rolls are $6 a dozen. Call 524-5735 to place your order by Nov. 13. Orders are to be picked up on Nov. 21 by noon at the Center located at 750 Heritage Court in Siloam Springs.
Veterans Day program
The community is invited to attend a Veterans Day celebration at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Siloam Springs High School, located at 700 N. Progress Ave. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1674 and the high school are hosting the event, which will have an emphasis on the 100 year anniversary of the World War I Armistice.
WWI Armistice celebration
Siloam Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1674 is participating in the celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the World War I Armistice at 5:45 a.m. Veterans Day, Nov. 11. The program will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery and will feature the Ozark Highlanders Pipe Band and the Singing Men of Arkansas, followed by a breakfast at American Legion Post 27, located at 1195 S. Curtis Ave., in Fayetteville.
FAFSA completion workshop
Financial aid professionals will be helping graduating seniors from the Class of 2019 and their parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid for the 2019-2020 college year. The workshop will be held in the Siloam Springs High School seminar room. Participants need to bring Federal Student Aid identification for students and parents, 2017 tax returns, 2017 W-2s and a laptop or Chromebook. Chromebooks will also be available.
