Cross Church Bible study: The Parables

Women are invited to study The Parables: Simple Stories with Profound Truth. The 10-week class meets on Wednesday mornings, beginning Jan. 8, 9-11 a.m. in Cedar Hall at Camp Siloam, 3600 S. Second Baptist Church of Siloam Springs recently announced its name has changed to 4:12 Fellowship SBC. The focus of the change is the message of Acts 4:12 and fellowship. Celtic Contemplat­ive Worship

Celtic Contemplat­ive Worship at Grace Episcopal Church, located at 617 N. Mt. Olive St., takes place each Sunday from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. It includes poetry, scripture, candleligh­t prayers, music, silence, contemplat­ion and the Lord’s Table. Childcare is provided.

FBC Awana

First Baptist Church offers an Awana program for children preschool through grade 6. Awana is a worldwide nonprofit ministry focused on providing Biblebased evangelism and disciplesh­ip solutions for children. Eastgate Baptist Church, located at 4950 Highway 412 E., offers Awana on Wednesday evenings at 6:30. Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary

Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary Catholic Church provides free meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Friday of each month. Veterans, the homeless, needy, elderly, unemployed, lonely and any families with children are invited to the free homecooked meal. The church is at 1998 U.S. Highway 412 E., next to 2 B’s Auto Sales.
