Sarah Dubbeldam lunch and learn Feb. 4

DaySpring will host Sarah Dubbeldam, founder of Darling Media, at a lunch and learn event from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, in the Great Hall at John Brown University. Sarah has been featured in HuffPost, USA Today and the Estee Lauder’s Women We Love Series. She will be sharing about her personal story of entreprene­urship and how she wants to encourage women to be brave in showing God’s love to others through their leadership. A.J. Anglin of Siloam Springs and David Bailey of Gravette, both nonpartisa­n candidates for judge of Benton County Court

District 1, Division 3, will attend the Monday, Jan. 20, meeting of the Siloam Springs Republican Women at the Compass Building, located at 318 E. Main. VFW chili/soup fundraiser Saturday

Veterans of Foreign Wars Levi Douthit Post 1674 is hosting a chili supper from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the post, located at 830 S. Tornado siren testing set

The city of Siloam Springs will change the testing day for the outdoor warning system to 1 p.m. on the first Monday of the month. In the past, testing has taken place on Friday. First Monday testing will give city staff the time to make repairs immediatel­y if they are needed. Should cloudy weather, rain or other inclement weather occur on a test day, the testing will be delayed one day, until completed.

American Legion fundraiser April 26

An Ora-32, three-speed bicycle, donated by Dogwood Junction, will be given away Sunday, April 26, at the American Legion Community Building in Siloam Springs. Tickets are $5 each or three for $10 for a chance to win the bicycle, which retails for $489.99. This fundraiser is to help support the Legion’s scholarshi­p fund. Tickets may be purchased from any American Legion member.
