Ninth-grade boys snap losing streak at Heritage
The Siloam Springs ninthgrade boys basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak Monday night with a 4726 victory at Rogers Heritage.
The Panthers jumped out to a 23-5 lead after the first quarter and led 29-5 at halftime after shutting out the War Eagles in the second quarter.
Siloam Springs extended its lead to 40-15 going into the fourth quarter.
Nate Hawbaker led the Panthers (2-3) with 13 points, while Cayden Hansen had 12, Eric Debler 10, Mason Simmons six, Silas Tugwell three, Jordan McCoy two and Dawson Zeledon one.
Ninth-grade girls
The Siloam Springs ninth-grade girls were defeated by Heritage 27-24.
Heritage led 8-3 after the first quarter and 12-5 at halftime. The Lady Panthers (0-5) pulled within 17-15 going into the fourth quarter.
Bailey Chopper led Siloam Springs with eight points, while Emily Keehn had seven, Lexi Masters four, Morgan Williamson three and Abbie Hutto two.
Eighth-grade boys
The Siloam Springs eighth-grade boys lost to Bentonville Grimsley 47-16 on Monday night.
The Panthers trailed 23-2 after the first quarter and 37-2 at halftime. Grimsley pulled ahead 45-11 going into the fourth quarter.
Jackson Still led the Panthers (0-4) with six points, while Mikey McKinley had four and Malachi January, Josiah Thompson and Alec Pearson each with two.
Keaton Kennon, Cy Bates, Joseph Martinez and Malik Thomas each had eight points for Grimsley.
Seventh-grade boys
The Siloam Springs seventhgrade boys improved to 3-0 with a 48-26 win over Bentonville Grimsley on Monday.
The Panthers led 17-9 after the first quarter and 22-13 at halftime. Siloam Springs took a 32-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.
Evan Allen led the Panthers with 14 points, while Stewart Schwaninger had 11, Eli Mann nine, Crew Webb six, Tristan Anglin four, Corbett Stephenson and Samuel Avery each with two.
Seventh-, eighth-grade girls
The seventh- and eighthgrade girls games at Bentonville Grimsley were canceled Monday. No make-up date was available at presstime.

The ninth-grade teams are scheduled to play at Alma on Thursday. The seventh- and eighth-grade girls host Bentonville Washington on Thursday, while the seventh- and eighthgrade boys play at Washington.
