Ninth-grade boys win thriller versus Greenwood

The Siloam Springs ninth-grade boys won a shootout against Greenwood on Monday, 57-53, inside Panther Activity Center.

Siloam Springs led 14-7 after the first quarter and 25-17 at halftime. Greenwood closed the gap to 42-38 entering the fourth quarter.

A.J. Moore led the Panthers (16-5, 5-4 Northwest River Valley) with 20 points, while Evan Allen had 17, Stewart Schwaninge­r 13, Bennett Naustvik four and Crew Webb three.

The ninth grade boys dropped a 39-31 loss at Harrison on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Siloam Springs led 7-0 after the first quarter and 15-13 at halftime. Harrison took a 29-27 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Schwaninge­r and Allen each had 11 points to lead the Panthers, while Moore had nine.

The ninth grade boys lost 46-31 at Van Buren on Wednesday, Feb. 8, in a makeup game.

Van Buren led 9-2 after the first quarter, 23-16 at halftime and 3221 entering the fourth quarter.

Eli Mann led the Panthers with 10 points, while Allen and Bennett Naustvik scored eight, Moore and Cole Pittman each with two and Jaxson Lashley one.

NINTH GRADE GIRLS

The Siloam Springs ninthgrade girls were defeated 43-33 at Greenwood on Monday, Feb. 13.

Greenwood led 11-3 after the first quarter, 17-11 at halftime and 22-17 entering the fourth quarter.

Morgan Jones led Siloam Springs (11-10, 4-5) with 12 points, while Keelyn Seagraves had 11, Jadyn O’Brien four and Cenzi Johnson, Reagan Bishop and Callie May each with two.

The Lady Panthers defeated Harrison 37-17 on Thursday, Feb. 9, at Panther Activity Center.

Siloam Springs trailed 9-5 after the first quarter but rallied to take a 15-11 lead at halftime and 26-15 advantage going into the fourth quarter.

Johnson led Siloam Springs with 11 points, while Jones scored eight, Kenlee Moore six, Natalie Perez five, Bishop three, Seagraves and May each with two.

The ninth grade girls picked up a 37-11 victory over Van Buren on Wednesday, Feb. 8, in a makeup game inside Panther Activity Center.

Siloam Springs led 7-3 after the first quarter, 18-6 at halftime and 27-9 entering the fourth quarter.

Moore led Siloam Springs with seven points, while Johnson had six, Seagraves five, Jones four, Jadyn O’Brien three, Perez, May and Karsyn Aviles with two each.

EIGHTH GRADE BOYS

The Siloam Springs eighthgrad­e boys rolled to a 52-31 victory over Greenwood on Monday, Feb. 13, inside Panther Activity Center.

Siloam Springs (10-6) led 10-9 after the first quarter and outscored Greenwood 16-4 in the second to take a 26-13 lead at halftime.The Panthers led 42-21 going into the fourth quarter.

Ryan Shipp led the Panthers with 20 points, while Gavin Kooistra had 15, Brady Addington, Averi Ratliff and Camden Newell each with four, Lane Pile and NicoAnglin-Rovira each with two and Kaden Dunn one.

The eighth grade boys snapped a three-game losing streak on Thursday, Feb. 9, with a 56-43 win at Harrison.

The Panthers led 14-10 after the first quarter and 28-23 at halftime before taking a 41-34 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Addington led Siloam Springs with 17 points, while Kooistra had 16, Shipp 10, Brock Ellingson and Chris Gunter each with four, Newell three and Dunn two.

The eighth grade boys lost their third straight, 38-30, at Van Buren Northridge on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

The Panthers trailed 14-4 after the first quarter, 23-13 at halftime and 31-19 going into the fourth quarter.

Kooistra led the Panthers with 13 points, while Shipp had nine, Addington four and Ellingson and Gunter each with two.

EIGHTH GRADE GIRLS

The Siloam Springs eighthgrad­e girls were defeated 35-31 on Monday, Feb. 13, at Greenwood.

The Lady Panthers (11-3) led 14-8 after the first quarter and 1816 at halftime. The game was tied 26-26 going into the fourth quarter.

Erika Ellis led the Lady Panthers with 16 points, while Juleeann Dunn had 12 and Madison Workman three.

The eighth grade girls picked up a 50-9 win over Harrison.

Siloam Springs led 10-2 after the first quarter and 26-6 at halftime. The Lady Panthers took a 42-8 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Dunn led Siloam Springs with 11 points, while Hope Nam had 10, Workman eight, Areah Williams six, Audrey DeShane four, Ellis and Journey Dawdy each with three, Valeri Della Rosa and Landry Ladner each with two, Lilli Cox one.

The eighth grade girls defeated Van Buren Northridge 29-12 on Wednesday, Feb. 8, inside Panther Activity Center.

The Lady Panthers led 7-4 after the first quarter, 13-8 at halftime and 19-9 going into the fourth quarter.

Ellis led Siloam Springs with 11 points, while Workman had seven, DeShane six, Lili Huffaker and Dunn each with two and Nam one.

SEVENTH GRADE BOYS

The Siloam Springs seventhgra­de boys lost 45-20 to Greenwood on Monday, Feb. 13, inside Panther Activity Center.

Greenwood led 14-2 after the first quarter, 30-6 at halftime and 34-14 going into the fourth quarter.

Marcus Smith led Siloam Springs (12-5) with 10 points, while Cale Sutulovich had four and Christian Linn, Jayden Coleman and Felix Reynoso each with two.

The seventh grade boys defeated Harrison 33-26 on Thursday, Feb. 9.

The Panthers led 8-3 after the first quarter but trailed 17-15 at halftime. Siloam Springs rallied to take a 24-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Ryan Vachon led the Panthers with 18 points, while Smith had six, Sutulovich five, Coleman three and Linn one.

The seventh grade boys fell at Van Buren Northridge 47-30 on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

Northridge led 18-4 after the first quarter and 26-14 at halftime before taking a 38-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Sutulovich led the Panthers with nine points, while Linn had six, Smith, Coleman and Skyler Hipp each with four and Vachon three.

SEVENTH GRADE GIRLS

The Siloam Springs seventhgra­de girls were defeated 28-14 at Greenwood on Monday, Feb. 13.

Greenwood led 8-1 after the first quarter, 17-5 at halftime and 21-7 entering the fourth quarter.

Abby O’Brien and Kendall Carver each had six points to lead the Lady Panthers (3-11), while Yessica Salazar had two.

The Lady Panthers fell 35-16 to Harrison on Thursday, Feb. 9, inside Panther Activity Center.

Harrison led 16-2 after the first quarter, 26-6 at halftime and 34-11 going into the fourth.

O’Brien led the Lady Panthers with nine points, while Candace Jacklik had three and Salazar and AlinyarYan­es each with two.

The seventh grade girls won their second straight game Wednesday, Feb. 8, with a 22-12 win over Van Buren Northridge inside Panther Activity Center.

Northridge led 4-2 after the first quarter and the game was tied 6-6 at halftime. Siloam Springs outscored Northridge 10-2 in the third to take a 16-8 lead going into the fourth quarter.

O’Brien led Siloam Springs with 10 points, while Heidi Jenks had seven, Jacklik three and Carver two.

UP NEXT

The seventh, eighth and ninth grade boys close out the regular season at Farmington on Thursday, while the seventh, eighth and ninth grade girls host Farmington.
