GENERAL HOSPITAL Carly Framed For Murder

Thanks to the presence of her DNA on Mary Pat’s corpse, Carly is a person of interest in the late nurse’s murder — which is just how Ryan wants it.

For Carly, says Co-head Writer Shelly Altman, “It’s déjà vu all over again for her, being accused of something she didn’t do. The PCPD would need a lot more evidence against her [to make an arrest], but the police and Carly and Sonny are all curious about how this possibly could have happened when, we all know, Carly didn’t do it.”

Carly and Jason assume that she is being framed, but “they can’t fathom who [is doing this],” Altman continues. “It has to be someone from Ferncliff, Carly reasons, because that is how she knew Mary Pat. Was it a random patient? She really is baffled by this, as is Jason.”

Meanwhile, the real killer, Ryan, is safely off the PCPD’S radar. “This is Ryan’s pattern,” says Altman of his latest murder. “And we should be afraid, very afraid, that the beast has been unleashed.”

YOUNG AND RESTLESS Mariah Sees Tessa With Money

Tessa freaks out when she discovers that Mariah has replaced their mattress. Tessa rages that Mariah had no right throwing out her belongings, then storms out. “Mariah is taken aback by that reaction,” says Carmyn Grimes (Mariah). “She was trying to do something nice but she feels like she made a huge mistake.”

A shaken Mariah seeks out Kyle for advice. He points out that a relationship is supposed to be a equal partnership and perhaps Tessa feels that decisions were made without her input. “Mariah realizes that she may have crossed a boundary,” shares Grimes. “When she returns home, there’s bottle of wine with a note from Tessa saying she’s sorry.”

Mariah feels much better, until she takes an empty box down to the alley and spies Tessa moving cash from the mattress into a duffle bag. “Mariah has no idea what’s going on but now she knows why Tessa was so upset,” sighs Grimes. “It’ll be interesting how Tessa will explain this.”

BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL Bill Sets Up Ridge

Bill is determined to find out the true connection between Ridge and Judge Mcmullen. “It’s no secret that the two went to school together; that’s public record,” states Thorsten Kaye (Ridge). “What’s not is that Ridge did use his influence to affect the outcome of the custody case. But what people seem to forget is that Ridge isn’t doing this because he can’t stand Spencer. It’s all about that little boy. Ridge was lucky to have a great father, but Will? Not so much.”

In an attempt to smoke out the truth, Bill decides to set up Ridge. “Bill comes up with this plan where he arranges to have Ridge and the judge meet up in a parking lot,” Kaye continues. “Of course, when they get there and see each other, they realize that neither called the other, and it dawns on Ridge that Bill must be behind this. That’s when Ridge knows that Bill knows [that he influenced the judge]. Now, Ridge is on eggshells and has nothing to do but wait for Bill’s next move. It’s not a great place to be in.”

DAYS OF OUR LIVES Ben Admits His Feelings

Ben throws his cards on the table with Ciara, admitting he has feelings for her. “Sometimes you need to be brave, put yourself out there,” explains Robert Scott Wilson (Ben). “He wants to test the waters and see where she stands, make sure he isn’t reading mixed signals.”

Ben pushes the envelope, asking if Ciara only chose Tripp because she thought Ben was guilty of setting the fire. When Ciara gets testy, Ben wonders if she could be fighting her feelings, “But at the same time, he’s not going to force anything. He’s going to let nature take its course,” notes Wilson.

Meanwhile, Claire gets Wyatt to confess to framing Ben, and Ben immediately confronts him. “Ben’s like, ‘Don’t put any more bad light on my name when I’ve come this far,’ ” says the actor. Eventually, Wyatt caves and admits what really went down, and Ben reveals the truth to Ciara. “He’s clearing his name,” contends Wilson, admitting that there’s an added bonus. “It’s, ‘Your dream guy isn’t Mr. Perfect. Let me tell you who Tripp really is.’ ”
