SO MANY MEN
Allie asks Rafe if he wants to adopt her unborn child, but he’s not sure he’s ready after losing David. Meanwhile, Will and Sonny learn from
Eric that Allie is offering her baby to Rafe. Will is bummed, but happy for Rafe. Later, Allie returns and Will informs her that he and Sonny would like to adopt her baby.
DOWN TO THE WIRE
Hope wakes up Steve and points out that it’s Kayla’s wedding day. Steve insists he doesn’t want to ruin Kayla’s happiness with Justin. Later, he comes across Justin and wishes him well. Jack warns Steve if he’s ever going to make his feelings known to Kayla, this is his last chance.
Justin has a prewedding breakfast with Sonny and confides his insecurities about Kayla’s feelings for him. Sonny assures his father that he has nothing to worry about.
Maggie informs Kayla that the justice of the peace had to cancel, so Maggie gets ordained online. After Maggie leaves, Jennifer and Hope
toast to Kayla’s future with Justin. Later, Hope and Jennifer discuss how Kayla is marrying Justin without knowing that Steve actually wants her back, which Justin overhears.
MOVING ON
Xander informs Victor that he’s moving out. Sarah arrives and Victor learns it was her idea. After Xander goes, Victor tries to defend his nephew and Sarah is affected. Meanwhile, Xander confides his woes to
Jack, then checks into the Salem Inn. Later, Xander calls a service and invites an attractive woman into his room, which Sarah witnesses.
FREE TO GO
Justin approaches Hope and asks her about what he overheard. She admits it’s true. Justin wrestles with what to do.
After Kayla walks down the aisle, Justin stops the ceremony.
At the key to the city ceremony, Hope tells Steve what Justin overheard and urges him to come clean to Kayla. After the successful ceremony, John and Marlena go to the pub with Hope and Steve. Hope tells Steve there’s still time to stop the wedding. Steve says that rather than stop the wedding, he’s going to leave Salem, and bids farewell to his friends.
Back at the Kiriakis mansion, Justin reveals to Kayla that Steve still loves her and wants her back. Jack and Jennifer confirm it. Justin still loves her, but can tell her heart belongs to Steve. She rushes off to find Steve, but Hope says Steve left for the airport. Kayla heads there.
Crushed, Justin goes to pack up his things at Kayla’s with help from
Sonny, who struggles to comfort his devastated father. Justin then goes to Adrienne’s grave, where he sees “Adrienne” right before him.
DECISION TIME
Victor reacts unfavorably to news that Will and Sonny are considering adopting Allie’s child.
Allie explains to John and Marlena that she has decided to give up her baby. They think she should contact Sami, but Allie disagrees. John and Marlena are supportive, but Allie’s on the fence about who should ultimately get her baby.
Lucas tells Kate that he isn’t happy about Allie’s situation. Rafe overhears and admits Allie offered her baby to him. Lucas lets it be known that
Will and Sonny are also considering adopting the baby, and Rafe figures he needs to speak with Allie.
Will runs into Rafe. The two men talk about Allie’s baby, and Will insists that he and Sonny won’t let this affect their friendship with Rafe.
PLANNING AHEAD
Eric and Nicole discuss their wedding, and Nicole wonders if Eric is okay getting married in the pub, but he couldn’t be happier with the location or her.
INS AND OUTS
Kayla finds Steve at the airport and the two reconcile and decide to leave Salem for a little while.
Meanwhile, Justin gets a shock at Adrienne’s gravesite. It turns out the woman who emerged is not Adrienne, but Bonnie, who seems to be a new woman, but still has feelings for Lucas.
Is this forever for Steve and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans)? Stephen Nichols says:
“Hopefully, they will never again part. Steve is just no good without Kayla.”
