■ As anyone who follows her on social media knows, Kirsten Storms (Maxie, GH) is passionate about knitting and crocheting. But while staying at home these past few months, “I have gotten so deep into distressing band T-shirts,” she reports. “Like, I scour the Internet for vintage band T-shirts, some not vintage. The production date is usually printed underneath the logo somewhere. I sandpaper the entire T-shirt, which takes a while, just to get it looking older. I will bleach, fabric dye, razorblade them to give them some nicks and stuff. The shirt I’m wearing right now has, like, 12 holes in it. I love that look. I feel like that, with rhinestone jewelry, is just such a good combination, like rocker chic, sort of. I’ve been going nonstop. I have probably 40 shirts sitting here waiting to be done. It’s been great. I post about them occasionally when I list a bunch of stuff on my Poshmark page. They’ll sell out really quickly. I want to make someone’s favorite T-shirt; that’s my goal. I’m a T-shirt and jeans kind of person and I have a couple of favorite T-shirts, so to create that for someone just feels really exciting. There is one lady who has bought seven from me and the comments she leaves when she receives them are like, ‘Oh, my God. It’s so soft. This one is even better than the last one. I can’t wait to get another one,’ or whatever. That makes me feel good. I love it. Brandon [Barash, Jake, DAYS, her ex-husband] said I need to open a T-shirt shop. My uniform is skinny jeans and some sort of distressed rock shirt or something like that.
