TOO MUCH BAGGAGE
At the hospital, Shawn tells Belle that the baby is fine but Jan is missing, and possibly dead. Shawn admits he still loves Belle, and it’s clear she still loves him, but they both realize baby Shawn and EJ are obstacles that will keep them apart.
Marlena cautions EJ about his involvement with Belle. After he admits he cares about Belle, Marlena mentions his complex situation with Sami. EJ notes that they’re over.
AISLE BE THERE
On Lucas and Sami’s wedding day, Sami and Marlena share a nice moment as she gets ready for the wedding. Meanwhile, Johnny tells EJ that Sami’s getting hitched. An unhappy EJ thinks Sami is making a big mistake. Later, Johnny lets his mother know that he told EJ about the wedding.
Will helps Lucas get ready, and Lucas confesses to falling off the wagon. Allie arrives to bolster Lucas, followed by Kate. Later, Will confides in Chad that Lucas had a slip in his sobriety. Kate, meanwhile, divulges to Chad that Lucas was aware that Abigail knew that he kidnapped Sami.
PARTNER SWAP
Roman presses Eric to share his feelings with Nicole, but Eric is adamant that he will keep silent now that Nicole is married to Rafe. Meanwhile, Allie wonders if Nicole still has feelings for Eric. Nicole insists that she wants to be with Rafe. Later, Nicole shares a fraught moment with Eric, which EJ witnesses. They catch up; EJ admits to Nicole that he slept with Belle, just as Sami walks in. Turns out, she didn’t hear what they were saying.
GROOM AND DOOM
Chad presses Will for more details about Lucas. After Will heads off to the wedding, Rafe calls Chad to tell him that Clyde has been cleared. Chad then puts it together that Lucas may be the one who murdered his wife!
As the wedding starts, Sami and Lucas both stuff any doubts they have and exchange their vows. Sami proclaims Lucas her hero, but Lucas offers a veiled apology for his crime
Is Nicole at the point where she feels if she just keeps saying she wants to be with Rafe (Galen Gering) that it will happen? Arianne Zucker says:
“I think so. She’s trying to brush aside what she had and what she felt for Eric, and commit to this relationship. In her mind she wants to commit to it, but in her heart it’s kind of tearing her up.”
against her, promising from this day forward to be the man she thinks he is. However, as Eric is about to pronounce them married, Chad storms in and accuses Lucas of killing Abigail — and reveals the motive: Lucas wanted to keep Abigail from revealing that he was the one who kidnapped Sami! Everyone reels from Chad’s accusations. Sami stands up for Lucas, but Chad reveals how he caught Lucas in the act of framing EJ for kidnapping Sami. Sami asks Lucas to deny it, but he can’t. Johnny lunges at Lucas, and has to be restrained by Eric. After tearing into Lucas for his betrayal, Sami rushes off. Lucas volunteers to go to the police and give a statement. Sami is full of self-recrimination for not believing EJ when he told her that Lucas was her kidnapper. Marlena tries to comfort Sami, but she charges out. At the Dimera mansion, Belle and EJ wind up in bed as Sami arrives at the door, needing to speak to her ex. Belle hides, but when Sami enters the room, she spies Belle’s bra on the floor ....
IN THE DRINK
Will admits to Allie that Lucas had a slip in his sobriety, and worries that he may have killed Abigail. Allie doesn’t want to believe their father could be capable of such a heinous act.
Kate reveals to Roman that she knew Lucas kidnapped Sami. Roman is outraged as she admits she was worried she would lose him if she told the truth. Roman agrees that her fears were wellfounded and ends things with Kate.
Rafe asks Lucas if he murdered Abigail, and Lucas admits he doesn’t know because he can’t remember what happened that night.
SISTER ACT
Sami demands to know who EJ is sleeping with, and is stunned when Belle emerges. Sami excoriates them and storms out. EJ follows as Sami reveals what happened at the wedding. Vindicated, EJ points out that if Lucas hadn’t framed him, he and Sami would have gotten back together. Sami replies it won’t happen because he slept with her sister. Belle overhears as EJ swears to Sami he thought she was lost to him forever, but now everything’s changed. Sami leaves. A hurt Belle does, too. Later, Sami is comforted by Allie.
