Patricia Myers
Patricia A. Myers, formerly of Towanda and Perkasie, Pa., died Monday, July 16, 2012, in Valley Manor, Coopersburg, Pa. She was 88.
She was the wife of the late Evans F. Myers, who died Jan. 20, 2005.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Herbert F. and Margaret (WhelanF Byrne and stepdaughter of the late Kathleen (DerriganF Byrne. She was a 1942 graduate of Doylestown High School, Doylestown, Pa.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Mrs. Myers was the fashion coordinator at the Martha Lloyd School for Exceptional Girls in Troy, Pa. Previously, she was employed by the former Vogue Shoppe, Perkasie, and Hoffman’s Clothing Store, Towanda. The Myerses formerly ran a small dairy farm and apple orchard in Towanda.
Pat was a former member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, Pa., Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, Pa., and SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Towanda.
While residing in Towanda, she was very active in community affairs. In addition to reading and traveling, her interests included antiques, flowers and taking pictures. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Judith Grim and her husband, Gerald, of Coopersburg, Pa., Kathleen Myron and her husband, John, of Doylestown, Pa., and Brenda Myers, of Wyalusing, Pa.; five grandchildren, Susan Andersen and her husband, Stephen, of North East, Md., Erika nuintero, of Center Valley, Pa., Michael Myron, of Troy, Pa., Jennifer Rowse, of Doylestown, and Julia Myron and her fiancé, Nicholas Weissman, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; seven great grandchildren, Keith Moore and his wife, Katrina, Kyle and Megan Andersen, Jacob nuintero-Welch, Isobel and Isla Rowse and Nicholas Pelton; a brother, Robert Byrne and his wife, Joan, of West Alexander, Pa.; and a cousin, Mary Anne Whelan, of Cooperstown, N.Y.
Her funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch St., Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Deep Run Mennonite West Cemetery, Bedminster Township, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NARSAD for brain research or NAMI, PA.
Lucille (YoderF Gotwals, 81, of Telford, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Lutheran Community at Telford.
She was the loving wife of Robert S. Gotwals for 61 years. Lucy was born in Belleville, Pa., to the late Reuben and Mary (wookF Yoder.
She graduated from Belleville High School,Cclass of 1948. Lucy attended Goshen College for two years.
