Winners named in 125th anniversar­y garden decorating contest

Souderton Borough recently announced the winners of the borough’s garden decorating contest, which was held as part of the yearlong celebratio­n of Souderton’s 125th anniversar­y. Twelve gardens entered the contest In the patriotic garden category, Bev HolzHr won firVt SODFH, GHnHrDtLon­V oI ,ndLDn Valley took second and Joyce Smeltz placed third.

In the multicultu­ral garden category, Don Dnd .Dthy ZHErDuVNDV won firVt SODFH, Elaine Derstine took second and Paula Oerth placed third.

First-place winners received $100 gift cards to County Line Nurseries, while second-place winners received commemorat­ive wreaths and third-place winners received commemorat­ive windsocks.

All participan­ts were awarded a framed garden contest plaque featuring the cover of the 125th booklet.
