Samsung Helps ColorBlind

Samsung has developed an app for its QLED TVs aimed at helping people with color vision deficiency (CVD) better understand their condition. The SeeColors app conducts a Colorlite Test, or C-Test, using a smartphone app. Having diagnosed the deficiency’s type and level, the app then connects to the TV and adjusts it to help the viewer experience something closer to accurate color. About 8 percent of men and 1 percent of women have CVD, totaling 300 million people worldwide. The app is available from Sansung’s Smart TV App store, Google Play, and the Galaxy App Store for Galaxy smartphones.—MF
