Theresa ‘Terri’ Sharpe peacefully passed away Sunday evening surrounded by her loving family. Terri was known as Mother Theresa, the Sharpe matriarch, with her home referred to as Grand Central Station. Always with an open door policy, Terri was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmothe­r, great grandmothe­r, aunt and friend. Nothing couldn’t be solved around her kitchen table with a cup of coffee. She was a lucky lady with a love of the casino, winning many jackpots over the years.

Terri was born to Edmund and Anne (Slona) Urbanski September 13 1934. She was raised in South Bend, IN with her 4 beloved sisters. She excelled in school, attending St Hedrick Catholic School and South Bend Catholic on academic scholarshi­p as a gifted student. She married the love of her life James Walter Sharpe on November 11 1954. Together they raised their 4 children in Granger, founding Aay’s rental in 1966. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of St Pius Catholic Church. She was on the board of directors of Reigns of Life, giving children of developmen­tal disabiliti­es the opportunit­y to work with horses, a Member and Speech Society and a charter member of the Puddle Lake Country Club.

Terri is preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Anne, her husband James Walter Sharpe, eldest son James ‘Jimmy’ Sharpe, sisters Rita Davis, Joanne Badowski, Esther Ksiezopols­ki and Loretta Muszynski. She is survived by her loving children Michael (Nancy) Sharpe, Tim (Mary) Sharpe, Nance (John) Petty, Grandchild­ren Stephanie (Bryan) Bush, Ashley Sharpe, Shannon (Anthony) McKeen, Whitney (Brian) Sharpe-Ellis, Nicole Bonek, Great Grandchild­ren, Mick and Jude Whittaker, Isabella and Simone Bonebrake, Gino, Archie and Penny McKeen.

Visitation will be on Friday March 8, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday March 9, 2024 at St. Pius X Catholic Church 52553 N Fir Rd. Granger, IN at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Reigns of Life and Hospice. Online condolence­s may be left at www.kaniewski.com
