Larger, brighter NightGarden returning to Miami’s Fairchild
The enchanting NightGarden is returning to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami on Nov. 15.
This year, when the sun goes down the lights come on, the spectacular interactive exhibit will be three times larger, according to a news release. Visitors can wind their way through the 23-acre interactive holiday display visiting an enchanted forest where fairies fly and trees talk. Save $6 on tickets during a presale running at TheNightGarden.com.
The spectacular, Instagram-worthy lighting displays include motion-sensing technology, outdoor holograms and sculptures. Many of the displays will be new this year, including a laser light show at the vine pergola and a maze that will be decorated with thousands of technicolor flowers. Visitors also can make shadow sculptures and solve a lost fairy puzzle with a chance to win $2,500. A snowfall experience is also planned leading up to the holidays.
“We are so proud of the overwhelming response to last year’s NightGarden at Fairchild,” Nannette Zapata, Fairchild’s chief operating officer, said in the release. “This year’s spectacular will encompass the majority of the Uplands of the Garden with 80 percent of the experience being brand new. We’re so excited about welcoming and connecting our visitors with the Garden in an interactive and uniquely engaging way.”
Hours will be 6-10 p.m. SundayThursday and 6-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15-Jan. 11. Tickets are $35-$39 for adults and $27-$31 for children 10 and younger. Fairchild is at 10901 Old Cutler Road in Miami, FairchildGarden.org, 305-667-1651.
