Through its 2019 end-of-year giving campaign, Pompano Beach contractor Current Builders raised $42,000 for charities including Toys for Tots, Rebuilding Broward Together, Inspire Awards, Kappa Foundation of Pompano Beach and the Dolphins Cancer Challenge.

“We once again exceeded our annual fundraising goal, and we extend our thanks and gratitude to our valued partners, friends and family for sustaining this annual tradition of giving,” Current Builders CEO Chip Reid said in a statement. “Thanks to their generosity, this year, we were able to support additional nonprofits.”

The nonprofit recipients of Current Builders’ fundraising efforts serve diverse needs in the community. Toys for Tots provides holiday gifts to children, Rebuilding Broward Together helps low-income residents and veterans with home repairs, and the Dolphins Cancer Challenge supports cancer research.

This year, for the first time, Current Builders also donated to the Kappa Foundation of Pompano Beach that provides bicycles to underprivileged children; the Inspire Awards, a west coast Florida-based charity supporting underserved women and children; and The Buddy Foundation that provides financial assistance to pet owners who can’t afford to care for their animals.

Current Builders partakes in additional fundraising efforts throughout the year including mentoring high school students, offering free in-house education programs for its employees and building homes for those in need.
