If panoramic views are what you’re after, consider this southern-facing 2,005-square-foot Fort Lauderdale penthouse on the top floor of the oceanfront Point of Americas II building.

In addition to two bedrooms, two baths, a balcony and nine-foot ceilings, the unit boasts unobstructed ocean and port views that extend to Miami.

Unit 3108, at 2200 S. Ocean Lane, is currently listed for $1.165 million. It was the residence of the late Marilyn Gleason, widow of Jackie Gleason, an actor, comedian, composer and conductor who was perhaps best known for playing Ralph Kramden on the television series “The Honeymooners.” He died in 1987.

“Point of Americas II is arguably the best location in Fort Lauderdale because it sits at the southernmost point of Fort Lauderdale Beach and Port Everglades Inlet,” said Brian Hero, a senior vice president and broker with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty in Fort Lauderdale, who holds the listing. “I’m in and out of buildings throughout South Florida, and these views are second to none.”

The condominium, which was built in 1971, upgraded its lobby, hotel guest rooms, on-site restaurant, fitness facilities, club rooms and other common areas in 2018.

“Everything is beautiful,” Hero said. “When you walk in, it’s like a brand-new building. There are a lot of amenities.”

Marilyn Gleason, an actress and dancer, was the sister of “Jackie Gleason Show” choreographer June Taylor. The couple lived in a 14-room mansion at Inverrary Country Club in Lauderhill, where Jackie hosted the annual Jackie Gleason Inverrary Classic golf tournament from 1972 to 1980.

After his death, Marilyn purchased the penthouse in August 1987 for $425,000. She died on April 2, 2019, and the penthouse was listed on Nov. 8, 2019.
