Stay safe and support families with artist-designed masks

-

Kids In Distress/Family Central and local artists collaborated on nine unique masks for the “Let’s Face

It” collection in which 100% of the proceeds directly benefit children and families in need.

“The artist community has not only embraced our mission, but they have also made it their own by creating ‘Let’s Face It’ original art in support of our children and families,” Mark Dhooge, president and CEO of Kids In Distress and Family Central, said in a statement. “Their works are inspiring and filled with compassion for children and families in need. It is an honor to partner with such a talented and kind group of people. We can all learn a lot from them.”

The mask collection was created by South Florida artists Adam Atomik, Apia, Nathan Delinios (Nate Dee), Danie Gomez-Ortigoza, Mario Ruschel Burgoa and Flavio Galvan plus Maria Nepomuceno from Brazil. The designs on the mask show different artist-inspired abstract images, superheroes, thoughtful words and photographs.

“Being able to help institutions that care specifically for the well-being of children and families is close to my heart,’’ Apia, an artist who contributed two mask designs, said in a statement.

The masks are available online at LetsFaceItSoFlo.org or at Kids In Distress, 819 NE 26 St., in Fort Lauderdale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Masks are $20 each with free shipping with the purchase of two or more masks. A Collector’s Edition with all nine artist-created masks is $170. The Enthusiast Edition, which includes an assorted pack of 25, is $500 and the Aficionado Edition offers an assortment of 50 masks for $1,000.

The “Let’s Face It” presenting sponsor is JM Family Enterprises, Inc., Publix, Greenberg Traurig, Sawyer & Latimer, P.A., Frank H. Furman Insurance and Aviah Flagler Village.
