Seniors can sign up to get a COVID-19 vaccine, though it could take months.

Seniors eager for COVID-19 vaccines have endured crashed websites and busy phone lines while trying to book their appointmen­ts across South Florida. But keep trying.

Here is a list of places where you can sign up for a vaccine, even though it could take months to get one. Spots are opening up only as vaccine doses become available.

Broward County

Drive-thru sites: The Florida Department of Health in Broward has opened a number of drive-thrus for anyone 65 or older. Appointmen­ts and a photo ID are required. Appointmen­ts are available at www.browardcov­idvaccine.com. Vaccines are free or charge. The sites are:

Tradewinds Park, 3600 W. Sample Road, Coconut Creek.

Vista View Park, 4001 SW 142 Ave.

Markham Park, 16001 W. State Road 84.

Holiday Park, 1150 G. Harold Martin Drive, Fort Lauderdale.

Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, 3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill.

Three to five other other locations will open within the next two weeks, according to Broward Mayor Steve Geller.

Memorial Healthcare System:

Memorial stopped taking appointmen­ts because of overwhelmi­ng response. Keep checking www. mhs.net. A “MyChart” portal is available to current Memorial patients to make an appointmen­t electronic­ally at https://mychart.mhs.net/mychart. Otherwise, call 954-276-4340 weekdays to register.

Cleveland Clinic Florida:

Reservatio­ns ended once the vaccine supply was gone. Check www.clevelandc­linicflori­da.org for updates.

Holy Cross Health: The Fort Lauderdale hospital has started to vaccinate a limited number of its own patients and will offer vaccines to other seniors “as soon as possible,” said hospital spokeswoma­n Christine Walker. Check www.holycross.com/covidvacci­ne or call 954-267-7600.

Broward Health: The hospital system stopped accepting appointmen­ts after they were booked through February. There is no website to check or phone number to call for now. When slots open, the vaccinatio­n site will be given only to people with appointmen­ts.

Palm Beach County

Palm Beach County has no drivethru sites yet. People 65 and older can get appointmen­ts by emailing the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach at chd50feedb­ack@ flhealth.gov. Include your name, phone number and date of birth. Vaccines will not be given without an appointmen­t, and no sites have been announced.

Miami-Dade County

Baptist Health South Florida: Baptist on Friday began offering appointmen­ts but soon booked more than 13,000 and stopped accepting sign-ups. Keeping checking baptisthea­lth-coronaviru­s.com/en/vaccine for available appointmen­ts.

Hard Rock Stadium: A drivethru site opened Friday. Registrati­on began at 8 a.m. There are currently 1,000 appointmen­ts available per day, over the next seven days. Walk-ins are not allowed. To register, call 1-888499-0840.

Mount Sinai Medical Center: Mount Sinai is providing vaccines to Miami-Dade County residents who are 75 or older. Call 305-6742312.

Jackson Health System:

Miami-Dade’s public hospital network has started vaccines for seniors at three locations.

Christine E. Lynn Rehabilita­tion Center, 1611 NW 12 Ave., Miami.

Jackson South Medical Center, 9333 SW 152 St., Miami.

North Dade Health Center, 16555 NW 25 Ave., Opa-locka.
