Miami Beach penthouse hits the market for $14.9M
A two-story Miami Beach penthouse with over 10,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor space has hit the market for $14.9 million — and it even has its own private rooftop pool.
The unit, PH-3 at 3737 Collins Ave., is on the 19th floor of The Caribbean, a boutique 103-unit building on the ocean in Miami Beach’s Faena District that has a pool, gym, concierge and valet service.
“It’s a historic building that has new construction attached to it,” said Anna Sherrill, a real estate agent with One Sotheby’s International Realty in Miami Beach, who holds the listing with colleague Diane Lieberman. “It’s boutique, but it’s private and exclusive, with full service and great amenities.”
The 3,911-square-foot corner penthouse, which was built in 2008, has four bedrooms, five baths, a private elevator, white marble floors, a state-of-the-art kitchen with Viking appliances and a 4,823-square-foot rooftop terrace complete with an outdoor kitchen, grill and pool.
The penthouse also comes with a private 464-square-foot cabana at the building’s beachfront pool, with its own full bath and kitchenette, and private climate-controlled storage space.
“It’s hard to find a building where you don’t have anything next to you for several blocks, so it’s an expansive, open view,” said Sherrill.
The current owners, Linden Nelson, a business executive, and his wife, Michelle Nelson, purchased the unit new in April 2010 for $4.275 million. Sherrill said they’re selling because they’re moving to a larger home in the area.
