NAIOP tournament benefits children’s center
Business professionals enjoyed the opportunity to hit the links and show off their golfing skills while raising funds for the Jack & Jill Children’s Center.
The 34th annual NAIOP South Florida Charity
Golf Tournament was able to navigate around the COVID-19 lockdown and conduct the event at the Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie.
The tournament generated over $21,000 for the Fort Lauderdale-based center, which is the oldest nonprofit provider of early childhood education in Broward County.
Over the last five years, the NAIOP South Florida organization has raised over $100,000 for the charity. The funds will help and educate children coming from high-need working families to ensure they will have the necessary skills to succeed in life.
“We were so excited to be able to have our annual golf tournament this year, in light of everything happening, and at the same time be able to raise funds for such an incredible organization,” said NAIOP South Florida Executive Director Jules R. Morgan. “While the pandemic continues to create uncertainty, local nonprofits depend on events like ours to keep their doors open and their programs operational. Thank you to our generous NAIOP South Florida members and sponsors whose donations and time made this event a success.”
The winning foursome received the royal treatment where they got to wear the green jackets while being presented with the championship trophies. The tournament winners were Peter Crane, Sansone Group; John Fox-Snider, Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A.; Brandon Woulfe, SRS
Real Estate Partners; and Geoffrey Temple, First American Title Insurance Company - National Commercial Services Division. Coming in second place was the team of Chase Kulp, Cushman & Wakefield; Joe Freitas, Cushman & Wakefield; and Will Portfolio, CBRE.
