‘Dog Whisperer’ Millan will train you and your dog at workshop
The Dog Whisperer is coming to Davie.
TV star and dog behaviorist Cesar Millan will be holding his “Fundamentals of Dog Behavior and Training” workshop Nov. 28 at the Country Inn Pet Resort & Animal Hospital, 2100 Flamingo Rd.
Millan’s workshop is a five-day hands (and paws) on program designed to teach dog owners how to best deal with their pets’ behavior issues. It teaches the same techniques that Milan is known for, such as having a calm and assertive mind when working with dogs, introducing a dog to a pack and socialization skills. The workshop is intended for both the dog owner and canine, but people can attend without a pet.
“Essentially, it is a training course for humans to understand dog behavior,” said Bruna Silva, general
manager of the Country Inn Pet Resort, the eightacre resort which is also home to Millan’s Dog Psychology Center, where he has held 10 workshops since 2013. “That is why there is an option to do so with your pet or without. If you do it without, you will get just as much out of the course as you would with your pet.”
Pet lovers may recognize Millan from his longtime syndicated series
“Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan” and Nat Geo Wild’s “Cesar 911.” He is also the best-selling author of various books, including “Cesar’s Way.”
The cost of the workshop is not for the faint of bark. The price depends on whether you attend with a pet ($5,950) or without ($5,450) Spots in the workshop are still available.
