Barbetta, Mary M. of Pembroke Pines, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018, with family by her side. She was born in Atlanta, GA and was a long time resident of South Florida. She was a retired commercial real estate broker/agent, a notary public, and was active with the local Chamber of Commerce. She had a successful career in commercial leasing in which she was responsibl­e for the medical office leasing for Memorial Healthcare System and also for the leasing of office space in multiple large commercial office buildings in South Florida. She was always looking for ways to expand her knowledge and went on to receive her Master’s Degree from Barry University. She was a caring, loving and generous person who loved animals and who was involved in various charities.

She was the wife of the late Fred Barbetta and the sister to the late Walter McElreath Jr. She is survived by her daughter Jonette and husband Richard of Davie, FL; sister Runette McElreath Nance of Marietta, GA; sister Shirley Williams of Greensboro. GA; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends for the viewing on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 6 PM – 9 PM at Fred Hunter Hollywood Memorial Gardens Home, 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL. Prayer service will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 7 pm at Fred Hunter Hollywood Memorial Gardens Home, 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 1 PM at Fred Hunter Hollywood Memorial Gardens Home, 6301 Taft St, Hollywood, FL. Mary had a loving and caring heart which touched all who knew her throughout her life. She leaves nothing behind but beautiful memories. She will be dearly missed.
