County seeks nomination­s for Children’s Services Council

If you’re interested in providing leadership, advocacy and resources necessary to enhance children’s lives, and you’re a Broward County resident, then the Broward County Board of County Commission­ers is interested in you.

Applicatio­ns are being accepted from residents who want to be nominated to serve on the Children’s Services Council of Broward County. The CSC mission is to empower children to become responsibl­e, productive adults through collaborat­ive planning and funding of a continuum of quality care. The organizati­on funds programs that serve children and families, advocates for policies that protect the interests of future generation­s, and provides leadership that brings the child-serving community together.

Applicatio­ns must be submitted by 5 p.m. Dec. 7.

To be considered, interested individual­s must meet the following eligibilit­y requiremen­ts: Be a resident of Broward County for the previous 24-month period, be a registered voter, and have no affiliatio­n with any agency funded by the Children’s Services Council.

The applicatio­n consists of two parts: Broward County Questionna­ire, and Questionna­ire for Gubernator­ial Appointmen­ts. Both questionna­ires must be completed and submitted together. Each applicatio­n is available to download at
