Mr. Richard Jeffery Yonis passed away peacefully at his home in Grapevine, Texas surrounded by family on November 14, 2018 at the age of 61.

Rick is survived by his loving wife Robin, children David Yonis and his wife Marla Yonis of Flower Mound, Texas, Caitlin Lewis and her husband Justin Lewis of Grapevine, Texas, Joshua Yonis and his wife Lauren Yonis of Denton, Texas father Joseph Yonis of Boca Raton, Florida, brother Steven Yonis of Boca Raton, Florida, sister Susan Wilens and her husband Gary Wilens of Boca Raton, Florida, stepson Stephen Davis and his wife Betsy Davis of Jacksonvil­le, Florida, grandchild­ren Riley Yonis, McKenna Yonis, Baby girl Lewis due in February 2019, Kayla Davis, Joshua Davis, Bradley Davis, great grandchild­ren Layla Davis, Weston Davis and baby Davis due in March 2019, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his loving mother Joyce Yonis of Boca Raton, Florida. Rick was born on April 17, 1957 in Lynn, MA to Joyce and Joe Yonis. He graduated from Masconomet High School in Boxford, MA in 1975. He married Robin Davis the love of his life in 2004. Rick was President of Sentry Self Storage in Coral Springs, Florida. Ricks wife, children, family and friends remember him as a kind, gentle, patient, driven person, he wore many hats in his life as a mentor to many, he coached soccer and baseball for many years as it was one of his passions, served on many different boards and was active in the Florida Self Storage Associatio­n.

Rick was passionate about his Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, and the Boston Celtics. He never missed Red Sox Spring Training in Ft Myers, Florida every March. He attended many Superbowl’s, World Series and his closet had more sports attire than regular clothes! Rick was a generous, witty, and dedicated individual who loved a challenge no matter what it was and who was passionate about helping others by sharing and teaching his knowledge whether it was work related, sports or Black Jack related!

A Celebratio­n of Life is scheduled for 3:00 PM November 24, 2018 Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyvill­e Blvd, Colleyvill­e, Texas. The theme of course will Sports in honor of his love for New England. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rick’s s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Baylor Charles A.
