Travel website crowns Miami the sexiest city in the world

It’s nothing new for Miami to land on one of these lists, but admit it, when a travel website names The Magic City the sexiest city in the world, you want them to show their work.

Well, in ranking Miami No. 1 in a study that posted this week, the site Big 7 Travel says it took into account these factors:

■ Statistics for the cities having the most sex

■ Data regarding the countries with most sexual searches online

■ Research on the best cities for single people

■ Research on the sexiest nationalities in the world

■ Highest number of romantic restaurants, date night spots, and passioninducing activities

■ Opinions of sexy cities as sampled from their audience of 2.5 million readers

Miami was followed in the top five by Paris, Denver, Copenhagen and Cape Town.

“Scantily-clad locals line the sandy shores of Miami, without a doubt one of the sexiest cities in the world,” Big 7 Travel said in naming its winner. “Vibrant nightlife, a rich party culture, and some of the most romantic views in the United States all make Miami a pretty sexy place to visit.”

Earlier this year, Big 7 said Miami had the 13th sexiest accent in the United States, so you start to get the feeling they have a little crush on us down in South Florida.

At the very least you have to say this study sounds more accurate than the one from another site earlier this month that ranked Miami one of the best cities to drive in the country.

Sexy? Yes. Capable of using our turn signals? No.
