In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Boca Raton-based Office Depot, Inc. recently distributed nearly $2 million in donations to several nonprofit organizations across the country.

Office Depot, Inc. donated $1.5 million to the Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund, while also providing $200,000 to youth-focused nonprofit organizations. Through the donations, Feeding South Florida, along with other nonprofits in the community, will receive essential funds in order to continue their operations.

Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund allows its membership network of 200 food banks to obtain the resources they need to serve the most at-risk individuals in their communities. Feeding South Florida, which serves residents in Broward, MiamiDade, Monroe and Palm Beach counties, has seen a 600% increase in demand since the start of the pandemic.
