Coast toCoastLegalAid of South Florida launched itsMobile Justice Squad, to provide critical legal services for senior citizens of BrowardCounty, and Geraldine DeBianchi, Esq. will lead the unit and provide legal services for homebound seniors or those seniors with limited mobility. This initiative continues the not-for-profit’s mission to provide free civil legal advice, representation, and education to eligible senior citizens.

After examining a patientwhohaddeveloped a cyst onhis back that grewlarger andmore painful over time, Smirnov suspected the cystwas a sign of amore serious condition. She ordered a chestCTscan, whichconfirmeda lung cancer diagnosis. After radiation treatments and chemotherapy, the patient has been cancer free andsees Smirnov for routine skin checks every threemonths.

She alsowona grand award for overall Best Children’sBook. Theaward was announced atFWA’s recent remote four-day annual conference. This annual competition, whichreceived 549 submissions, wasRPLA’s 19th. TheRoyalPalm LiteraryAwards competition is a service of the FloridaWriters Association established to recognize excellence in itsmembers’ published andunpublishedworks while providing objective andconstructive written assessments for all entrants.
