People started calling the owner, even though the house wasn’t listed, and I think the power of suggestion made him thinkmaybe he should sell, so that’s when we put it on the market.”

Itsupgradesover thepastyear include a new kitchen designed by Chicago-based Mick De Giulio, who has been creating kitchens for distinctive residences in theUnited States and abroad for over 45 years. The kitchen features Alpine White quartzite countertops, custom cabinets and top- of-the-line appliances, as well as a butler’s kitchen.
Thegated estate also includes HidalgoMonci lighting fixtures, Sicis glass mosaic and an Estudio Arqué- designed pool. All furnishings are included in the sale.
“This is a one- of- a- kind home,” said Hertzberg. “The finishesandthequality are truly extraordinary.”

Gables Estates is a guardgated community consisting of 192 homes on large lots. “It’s one of the most coveted neighborhoods you can live in,” said Hertzberg. “Any homeowner buying in there has to pay an application fee of $100,000.”
