The Town of Golden Beach is the northernmost oceanfront municipality in Miami-Dade County. It’sboundedby theAtlantic Ocean to the east, the Intracoastal Waterway to the west, HallandaleBeachtothe northand Sunny Isles Beach to the south.
“Golden Beach is an exclusive place,” said Jared Ringel, a real estate agent with Compass Florida in Boca Raton, who holds the listingwith colleagues ChrisFranciosa and Lisa Valko. “The entire townis about a mile fromnorth to south, andmostof the single-family homes are oceanfront.”
The current owner of the property is Scott Scharg, who purchased it in December 2018 for$10.62million. Scharg is a hair industry executive and one of the founders of It’s a 10Haircare.
Ringel said he’s selling becausehe plans tomove to a condominium.
Sosa, who owned the home from2013to2016, is anativeof the Dominican Republic who began his career in 1989 and played for 18 seasons, most of them as a right fielder for theChicagoCubs, before retiring in 2007. He is one of nine players inMajor League Baseball history to hit 600 career homeruns.
