Miramar Cultural Center offering families week’s supply of groceries
The Miramar Cultural Center, 2400 Civic Center Place, is distributing seven-daysworth of groceries to over 100 children and their families.
Partnering with Florida Introduces PhysicalActivity andNutrition (FLIPANY), the center began distributing food onNov. 17 at its Stage Door parking lot.
With registration required, school-age children and their families can pick up the groceries from2:30 to 5:30 p.m. everyTuesday. Centered on helping families in need duringCOVID-19, Miramar Cultural Center Director Camasha Cevieux highlighted the importance of its partnership with FLIPANY.
“Iamso thankful to beworking with the team at FLIPANY, especially during this time whensomany families are in need fromthe growingCOVID-19 crisis,” she said in a statement. “It is critical that families have access to fresh, healthy food during this difficult time. Not having toworry about where their nextmeal is coming frommeans everything.”
