Miramar Cultural Center offering families week’s supply of groceries

The Miramar Cultural Center, 2400 Civic Center Place, is distributi­ng seven-daysworth of groceries to over 100 children and their families.

Partnering with Florida Introduces PhysicalAc­tivity andNutriti­on (FLIPANY), the center began distributi­ng food onNov. 17 at its Stage Door parking lot.

With registrati­on required, school-age children and their families can pick up the groceries from2:30 to 5:30 p.m. everyTuesd­ay. Centered on helping families in need duringCOVI­D-19, Miramar Cultural Center Director Camasha Cevieux highlighte­d the importance of its partnershi­p with FLIPANY.

“Iamso thankful to beworking with the team at FLIPANY, especially during this time whensomany families are in need fromthe growingCOV­ID-19 crisis,” she said in a statement. “It is critical that families have access to fresh, healthy food during this difficult time. Not having toworry about where their nextmeal is coming frommeans everything.”
