Trained local storm spotters can assist NWS in verifying tornadoes, hail, wind damage and heavy rainfall as they are occurring in the community. Laptop computers, internet hotspots available for checkout. The Broward County Library Workforce Ready program will lend 14 Chromebooks and Internet hotspots at no charge to qualifying residents. There are 25 devices available for check-out at each of the five participating locations and customers can request to be notified when the item becomes available. The check-out period is for 30 days with one renewable 30-day extension allowed. A valid Broward County Library card in good
standing must be presented. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Proof of residency is required in one of the six qualifying Broward ZIP codes: 33069, 33023, 33309, 33311, 33313 or 33319.
