Where to get monoclonal antibody treatments
Monoclonal antibody clinics for COVID-19 are available throughout Florida. People who are 12 and older and at high risk, and who have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19, are eligible for this treatment. Treatment is free and patients’ vaccination status does not matter.
Florida has a standing order signed by the state’s surgeon general that makes this treatment available without a prescription or referral if administered by an eligible health care provider; referrals and prescriptions can be used at other health care providers. The monoclonal antibody treatment delivered at the state-sponsored
clinics is free to patients.
This treatment does not replace vaccines to prevent COVID-19. It does, however, help reduce the severity of the infection once a person gets a positive COVID test.
