Bal Harbour condo includes private cabana

- By Robyn A. Friedman

In case owning a luxury condominium in tony Bal Harbour isn’t enough for you, how about a 7,380-squarefoot residence that comes fully furnished — and includes your own private poolside cabana?

A six-bedroom contemporary unit at The Palace at Bal Harbour hit the market in early December. Built in 1994, but fully renovated, Units

17E and 17F at 10101 Collins Ave. comprise a double-unit that has seven full and one half baths and wraparound terraces spanning the full width of the building.

Both the unit itself and the cabana were designed by Sarah Zohar, the owner of Miami-based Sarah Z Designs. It’s priced at $18.75 million.

The unit was designed with dramatic finishes, such as the use of natural stone on the walls of the dining room. The poolside cabana included in the purchase price is fully renovated and furnished and has a full bathroom, TV and a wet bar.

“The Palace is a quiet, peaceful, family-oriented building with beach service,” said Moshe Goldshtein, a real estate agent with One Sotheby’s

International Realty in Surfside, who shares the listing with colleague Chani Lipskar. “It’s a luxury lifestyle in an amazing location.”

The Palace at Bal Harbour is a 21-floor oceanfront condominium that offers residents extensive ameni

ties, including a fitness center, a pool with private cabanas, spa, café, tennis and beach access.

The Village of Bal Harbour, which celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021, is an upscale community known for its luxury residences and high-end shops, including the Bal Harbour Shops, an openair mall that is one of the highest-grossing shopping centers in the world.

The current owners, who

live in Chicago, purchased the unit in March 2017 for $6.75 million, gutted it and invested over $4.5 million in renovations, high-end finishes and custom furniture, Goldshtein said. They are selling to downsize and plan to purchase another condo or home in the area, he added.

“This unit is turnkey and incredibly sized,” Goldshtein said. “It’s the perfect mansion in the sky for a large family.”
