The Boca Raton branch of Wells Fargo Advisors announced that Noah Rubin has been named managing director — investment­s.

Blue Sea Capital LLC announced that Patrick Boroian has joined as a partner to lead business developmen­t for the firm. Boroian previously was a managing director and head of originatio­ns at Carlyle Illiquid Credit, and as a partner at LNK Partners and Brockway Moran & Partners. Before that, Moran was a general partner at The Sprout Group and a managing director at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners.

Jennifer Burger has been named chief executive officer of the Phelps Media Group in Wellington.

Burger, who is a lifelong equestrian, launched her own advertisin­g agency. She has also held various positions with nonprofit organizati­ons, such as therapeuti­c riding centers, schools, Buffalo Equestrian Center, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, United States Hunter Jumper Associatio­n Foundation and US Equestrian. Burger is president of the National Horse Show and serves on boards for the Devon Horse Show, USET Foundation Advisory Committee and Unity of the Palm Beaches.

Culinary

Big Time Restaurant Group recently appointed Robert Morris as general manager of City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill and Barrio; both at The Square in West Palm Beach. Morris’ experience includes working at Addison Reserve and Mizner Country Club. He also opened and managed Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Internatio­nal Airport.

BurgerFi added four senior members to its executive team following the recent acquisitio­n of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza &

Wings. The expanded team includes: Michelle Zavolta, chief people officer; Ron Biskin, chief developmen­t office; Stefan Schnopp, chief legal officer and corporate secretary, and Nadia Cronk, senior vice president of marketing.

Law Armstrong Teasdale

Florida Agricultur­e Commission­er Nikki Fried announced the addition of two new communicat­ions profession­als to join the Florida Department of Agricultur­e and Consumer Services Office of Communicat­ions. Sabina Covo is Hispanic media director based in Miami, and

Kassandra Curiel is social media manager.

The West Palm Beach VA Healthcare System announced Andrea Madrazo Paga as the new public affairs officer. Madrazo Pagan began her career in the private sector under Emergency Management and Media Relations. In 2018, she joined the federal government and the VA mission as a TCF trainee with the Orlando VA and later officially joined as the public affairs specialist.

Tamarac Mayor Michelle J. Gomez was recently accepted into the Urban Land Institute Leadership Institute, a real estate-focused leadership program dedicated to developing the region’s emerging land use and real estate leaders. Gomez will participat­e in the 2022 Leadership Institute for the Southeast Florida/Caribbean District, which covers coastal counties from Indian River through Monroe, and throughout the Caribbean Islands.

Surabhi Ranjan, MD, has been named Section Leader in Neuro-Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital.

Dr. Robert Flood has been appointed chief of emergency medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Health System, overseeing the Emergency Department on the Nicklaus Children’s main campus as well as Nicklaus Children’s physician teams at collaborat­ing hospitals in South Florida.

Jason R. Ouellette, MD, FACP has been appointed as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Palms West Hospital. Ouellette joined

HCA in March, as the assistant chief medical officer for JFK Medical Center and JFK Medical Center North Campus.

A network of dental labs, National Dentex Labs, announced the acquisitio­n of Biotech Dental Prosthetic­s in Palm Beach Gardens. Biotech will relocate to the NDX headquarte­rs in Jupiter. Biotech’s president, Frank Lavonia III, will be the general manager of NDX’s new dental lab.

Felipe Pinzon has been named president and chief executive officer of Hispanic Unity of Florida.

Arc Broward President and Chief Executive Officer, Dennis Haas, announced plans to retire at the end of 2022. Julie Price will succeed Haas as the agency’s next president and chief executive officer. Price began working at the agency while in college and became its chief operating officer 25 years ago.
