Early Learning Coalition of Broward appointed Melody McDonald, of Future Kids at Sunrise, as a member of its board of directors.

Law

Trial attorney Peter Spillis was named managing partner of the Kelley|Uustal law firm in Fort Lauderdale. Spillis joined the firm as a partner in 2014.

Murray Guari Trial Attorneys’ Partner Scott B. Perry was reelected to the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Bar Association for a second two-year term.

Architecture

The Miami studio of Perkins&Will, architecture and design firm, announced the hiring of design director, Sabrina Pagani, to lead the Miami office’s interior design practice, as well as grow the firm’s business development across North and South America.

Tourism

Stacee Lanz, special events coordinator for the City of Boca Raton, was named Most Valuable Events Person by the Greater Miami Festivals and Events Association at their annual Conference and Exhibition.

Culture

Business for the Arts of Broward announced that John O’ Grady, Scott Miller and Kevin Shacter joined the board of directors. O’ Grady is co-founder of and executive producer for Bob Industries; Miller is the Dean of Arts, Humanities, Communication & Design at Broward College in Davie; Shacter is senior fiduciary officer at The Northern Trust Co. on a Wealth Management Team in Fort Lauderdale.

Finance

Rick Shaw was named president and chief executive officer of Miramar-based Tropical Financial Credit Union. He previously was executive vice president/ chief operating officer.

Community

The Adolph & Rose Levis JCC named Marty Haberer chief executive officer. Haberer was president and chief executive officer of Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix for the past five years.

Goodman Jewish Family Services of Broward County Inc. named Jodi Berman executive board chair and appointed Steven Africk, Abby Freedman, Lili Lowell and Broward County Commissioner Jared Moskowitz as new board members.

Camillus House, which works to meet the needs of the struggling and homeless, announced the appointment of Reggie Alexis as senior vice president, finance, in Miami. He was previously chief financial officer at Boley Centers based in St. Petersburg.

Scott Kleiman was installed as board chair of Posnack Jewish Community Center, in Davie. Kleiman is managing partner at Kalis, Kleiman & Wolfe.

Real estate Christian Fernandez

joined ISG World as a chief sales officer and partner. Prior to joining the firm, Fernandez worked as the chief executive officer of Aquaterra.

PropertyForce announced that Maria T. Suarez joined the company as director of marketing and communications. Previously, she was a director at REEF Technology in Miami, which works to transform urban spaces into community hubs and is an operator of parking real estate and delivery kitchens. Prior to that, Suarez was vice president, marketing manager at City National Bank.

Colliers announced that Kevin Gonzalez and Jake Freeman joined the firm in

Miami.

Native Realty announced a new Associate, Adam Docktor, from Compass, where he was a real estate adviser.

Illustrated Properties, a member of The Keyes Family of Companies, announced Susan Fleming as sales manager of the Coastal Specialists Office in Manalapan. Fleming has spent 13 years with Illustrated Properties. Before that, she was a Realtor with Tauriello & Co. Real Estate in Delray Beach and Southdale Properties in Lake Worth Beach.

Jack Tusa joined Tint World as social content and e-commerce manager.

Medicine

Dr. Thomas Forbes ,an interventional cardiologist, joined Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital as its chief of pediatric cardiac services, in Hollywood, from the Detroit Medical Center in Michigan. Also, the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Heart Institute added three other fellowship-trained physicians: Dr. Peter Guyon, from Rady Children’s Hospital and the University of California San Diego; Dr. Jared Klein, a cardiac imaging specialist; and Dr. John Dentel, a cardiac surgeon.

Construction

Kaufman Lynn Construction promoted Chief Operating Officer Chris Long to lead the company as president.

Palliative care

Trustbridge Hospice Foundation appointed Shanny Tozzi as regional director of philanthropy. Previously she led fundraising campaigns on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Florida.
