Church announces Bible & Leadership Institute spring semester

Accokeek First Church of God announces the Bible & Leadership Institute spring semester will be held 10 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Saturdays, April 23-June 18, at the church, 15821 Livingston Road, Accokeek. The Bible & Leadership Institute offers ministry and leadership courses in the areas of discipleship, leadership, ministry, and outreach/ evangelism with a curriculum tailored for students to earn church ministry certifications recognized worldwide. Tuition is $25 per course, plus $17 for textbook. No class will be held May 21 and May 28. Pre-registrations are open April 4-30. All are welcome. New Life Church to host workshop

New Life Church will host Stephen Ministry Introductory Workshop 9 a.m.-1 p.m. April 23 at the church, 9690 Shepherds Creek Place, La Plata. This half-day workshop will consist of three sessions designed to enhance participants’ caregiving skills and help congregations explore ways to expand their caring ministry.
