La Plata United Methodist Church will hold a groundbreaking ceremony 12:30 p.m. May 22 at the church, 3 Port Tobacco Road. The church building expansion project will provide more classrooms, larger fellowship hall space, youth room, music room and chance to move church offices back into the main building.
