Urology, surgery office opens in Brandywine

Chesapeake Urology opened its new urology office in Brandywine on Monday, May 2, offering patients in Southern Maryland easier and increased access to urology and surgical services.

The 14,000-square-foot office is part of a newly constructe­d medical office building located in the Matapeake Business Park at the Brandywine Medical Center, 7704 Matapeake Business Drive, Suite 310, in Brandywine, according to a press release. The new office is convenient to patients located in both Prince George’s and Charles counties.

Chesapeake Urology’s new office space combines the former Clinton and White Plains offices into one large facility, allowing for better patient care and amenities. The new office features 11 examinatio­n rooms, five physician offices, an operating suite for ambulatory surgery, two additional surgical rooms for outpatient procedures, an ultrasound room and expanded, spacious and comfortabl­e waiting rooms.

“Because we were able to design this new office space from scratch, it is state-of-the-art, with a design that optimizes patient flow and efficiency, and includes an integrated operating room with state-of-the art equipment, as well as two procedure rooms for patient safety and convenienc­e,” Dr. Sanford J. Siegel, Chesapeake Urology president and CEO, said in the press release. “This new office and surgical center is an excellent environmen­t for our patients, doctors and staff.”
