Bike sessions
BMX bike sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays at Charles County Skatepark, which is at White Plains Regional Park.
Standard skatepark admission fees apply. Cyclists 18 and younger must have a parent or legal guardian present at time of registration.

Kickball tournament

Coaches wanted
Southern Maryland Volleyball Club is looking for head and assistant coaches for the 2016-17 USA Volleyball Chesapeake Region season.
SOMDVBC is a 501(c) (3) organization, managed and led by dedicated members/coaches from the community who are committed to the promotion of volleyball by offering a challenging and educational program providing a level of training and competition commensurate with the ability and interests of the participants.
The club welcomes experienced coaches looking to reinvigorate their careers, as well as those looking to coach for the first time with an effort to place coaches at a level consistent with their abilities, interests and experience, as well as meeting club and team needs.

Fall derby 101
Southern Maryland Roller Derby will hold its fall derby 101 from 7 to 9 p.m. starting Sept. 7 at the Waldorf Skate Center in Waldorf.
This event is for anyone 18 and older interested in learning how to skate and play derby. All skater levels are welcome. There will be question-and-answer sessions on Mondays in August at Capital Clubhouse in Waldorf.
