Charles County Board of Education will celebrate 100 Years of Education 6-9 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Port Tobacco Courthouse, 8430 Commerce St. A presentation, “Education: Then and Now” will be followed by breakout sessions including a trip to the Port Tobacco One Room School. Event is the first of three presentations in a series exploring the history of the school board and education in Charles County over the past 100 years. Vendor opportunity available at Celebrate Charles
FallFest to be held noon-4 p.m. Oct. 22 at Regency Furniture Stadium, 11765 St. Linus Drive, Waldorf. Local artisans and crafters invited to showcase their goods and talents. Registration fee $25.
