The Legislativ­e Black Caucus of Maryland Inc. (LBCM) will host a 2016 Public Hearing 9-5 p.m. in the Legislativ­e Building, 90 State Circle, Annapolis. NARFE Chapter 126 will hold its monthly meeting at 12:30 p.m. at Mama Stella’s Restaurant on Route 210 in Bryans Road. Maryland Secretary of Veterans Affairs George W. Owings III will meet with veterans and citizens 10:30 a.m. at the Maryland Veterans Memorial Museum, 11000 Crain Highway, Newburg. The event will be hosted by the Veterans Democratic Club of Charles County and Vicinity. There is a small fee for lunch (optional). The Town of La Plata Design Review Board will be 9 a.m. at town hall, 305 Queen Anne St., La Plata.
