Stolen guns, drugs recovered by police

On Oct. 8, several guns were stolen during a bur- glary at a house in the 10400 block of Willetts Crossing Road in White Plains. Detectives pur- sued leads and identified a possible suspect. During the investigation, the suspect was involved in a car crash in St. Mary’s County, and one of the guns stolen from the burglary was found in the driver’s possession. On Oct. 25, officers from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office emergen- cy services team execut- ed a search and seizure warrant at the suspect’s house in St. Mary’s Coun- ty. Robert Joseph Baker, 23, of Great Mills was subsequently charged with first-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property, theft and pos- session of marijuana with intent to distribute. As a result of the arrest, two other suspects were also identified in the burglary. Another search warrant was executed in Calvert County, where a stolen gun was recovered. Zachary Tyler May, 24, of Lusby was charged with first degree burglary, theft, possession of a stolen firearm and malicious destruction of property. The third suspect, Andrew Mark Herold, 27, of Lex- ington Park is currently incarcerated in St. Mar y’s County.

Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

Around 11:44 p.m. on Oct. 24, Officer C. Curtis made a routine traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on Berry Road near Bens- ville Road in Waldorf. Upon making contact with the driver, Pfc. Curtis detected a strong odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed more than 100 grams of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. The driver, Patrick Stacy Bacon, 24, of Upper Marlboro and the passenger, Bria Diamond Anderson, 21, of Arlington, Va., were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Bacon was also charged with several related traffic violations.
