Basketball

Team Fire Elite Youth Basketball will hold tryouts for the upcoming AAU season Wednesdays through November at Malcolm Elementary School, 14760 Poplar Hill Road, Wal- dorf. Children 7 to 12 will try out from 6 to 7 p.m., children 13 to 15 will try out from 7 to 8 p.m. and children 16 and 17 will try out from 8 to 9 p.m.

TFE is always seeking quali- fied coaches for the teams.

Team Fire Elite Youth Basket- ball has partnered with Navy Child and Youth Programs to launch the Military Registra- tion Discount Program for the upcoming season in support of military families. The program is for children 5 to 18 of active duty military, Department of Defense civilians and contractor­s, reservists on active duty or inactive duty while training, and children of military retirees.

Track and field

Charles County Elite Track & Field Club will start its 2016-17 indoor track and field season the week of Nov. 14 for children 5 to 18. The club, which is a member of the Amateur Athletic Union and USA Track & Field of the Maryland regions, competes in track meets locally, regionally and nationally.
