Delegation will hold meetings 9 a.m. every Friday (unless otherwise notified) starting Jan. 13 to March 3, with the exception of Feb 24. There will also be meetings on March 17 and March 24. Meetings will be held in Room 318 of the House of Delegates, 6 Bladen St., Annapolis.

Saturday, Jan. 14

The Veterans Democratic Club of Charles County and

Vicinity will meet at 10:30 a.m. at 3385 Metropolit­an Church Road, Indian Head. The club’s speaker will be Del. C.T. Wilson (D-Charles) who will discuss pending veterans legislatio­n that will come before the General Assembly in 2017. The brief- ing will be open to the public. The annual Southern

Maryland Reception will be held 7-9 p.m. at the Loews Annapolis Hotel, 126 West Street, Annapolis. To sponsor or purchase tickets, contact Sandy Faucheux at Tri-County Council at 301-274-1922. Tickets are $40, individual.

Tuesday, March 7

The National Oceanic and Atmospheri­c Administra­tion

(NOAA) has released the draft plan to designate Mallows Bay in Nanjemoy, Maryland as a National Marine Sanctuary. A public meeting discussing the draft plan will be held 6-9 p.m. at the Charles County Government Building, 200 Baltimore St., La Plata.
